Caleb's Story

He's here!! Caleb Jonathon Edwards arrived two weeks early but is healthy and happy. He is 7lbs 15 ounces, 20 1/4 inches long. He has HUGE hands and feet to grow into. He came out with a full head of dark brown hair like his dad.

Caleb's Birth Story

Last Friday Christian and I spent the New Year cleaning and organizing Caleb's room and putting in the car seat. Then Saturday afternoon we decided to treat ourselves to a movie matinee down in Reno. Right before we left I decided to throw our hospital bag in the backseat. I never thought in a million years we would actually need it an hour later! We were just starting the movie when all of a sudden my water broke! Christian and I both were crazy with excitement and nerves. We raced to the hospital and spent the next 22 hours in labor! I really wanted to go all natural but after 11 1/2 hours of going from the birthing ball to the bathtub and back to the bed I broke down and got an epidural.... it was the BEST thing I ever did!! It made the whole experience SO much easier! I ended up falling asleep and getting rest before pushing for 3 1/2 hours. It was all worth it when he showed up on Sunday, January 3rd! I know that every mother says this but he is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen! It is so amazing the love that coming rushing out of my heart every time I look at him! Here are some pictures of the big day. I will post more in a few days. Stay tuned because there are big developments each day!

Congratulations! I can't believe he's already here! That's not what I was expecting when I decided to check your blog! He has so much hair! WOW! He really is a beautiful little boy too! I'm so thrilled for you! Being a mom of a boy is absolutely wonderful... Even if you're up all hours of the night! Parker is 7 weeks today and is only up once a night so it does get better! Hang in there!
